A Lancashire favourite in Turkish dining is set to open a destination restaurant and bar in Manchester early next year, after agreeing a lease at our Affinity Living Riverside residence near Salford Central station.

Ottoman Bar & Grill expects to open in February 2024 after completing a half-a-million-pound fit out of the unit, which will seat up to 120 diners for breakfast, lunch and dinner – a great doorstep amenity for residents.

Guests can expect the unique Ottoman specialty dishes from its Chorley restaurant including chicken and lamb shish kebabs, using top quality meats, to Turkish delight.

Ottoman joins independent bakery and coffee shop Loaf MCR, situated at Affinity Living Riverview, within the premium build-to-rent residences that form part of Select Property.

The restaurant’s opening is set to create 30 jobs. It will be the owners’ second site as they build on the success of the inaugural Chorley destination, with plans to create more Ottoman restaurants in Birmingham and London in the near future.

Ugur Ansin, director at Ottoman Bar & Grill, said: “We’ve built a solid reputation in Chorley for providing the best quality, delicious meats that we cook to perfection alongside a second-to-none service. Food will be cooked fresh on site from cold mezzes to hot bread. And we’re so excited to bring this to Manchester at Affinity Living Riverside.

“My team has invested their decades of experience as butchers and from working in Turkey’s top restaurants into Ottoman – creating a truly authentic dining experience. Manchester was the natural next step for us in opening a second restaurant, and we’ve got big plans to take our dining experience nationwide in the next few years.”

Adam Price, CEO at Select Property, said: “People travel from across Lancashire to visit Ottoman’s Chorley restaurant, so we know it’s going to be a huge hit here in Manchester.

“A big part of Affinity Living’s success is our integrated hospitality model, with Ottoman set to enhance the living experience at Riverside, just like Loaf MCR has done at our Riverview site since 2022.

“Carefully selecting hospitality operators helps us to exceed the expectations of our residents, demonstrated by our leading occupancy rate of 98% across our three Manchester residences.”

Affinity Living provides premium build-to-rent accommodation with a focus on building and nurturing communities among its young professional residents. It has four residences across Manchester, which feature communal lounge and co-working spaces that help to bring people together, with exclusive events organised for residents.

It’s currently building its first residence in Birmingham, Lancaster Wharf, with the scheme fully sold out to buyers and investors.
